Our Story
Agora Market was created out of a shared vision between its founders Ashley and Yasmene to build a community-focused space where local businesses could grow and thrive, and where women could support one another in their entrepreneurial journeys.
After moving to Edmonton, Yasmene quickly became enchanted by the warmth and friendliness of the city’s people, and it sparked a desire to contribute to that energy. She wanted to experience all that makes Edmonton unique—and Agora Market is her way of bringing even more of that magic to life.
For Ashley, a lifelong Edmontonian, the decision to create a market was a natural step. She has always loved the energy of her community, the magic of the city, and her deep connection to local businesses. From the Oilers to everything sparkly, Ashley’s enthusiasm for bringing people together shines in everything she does, and Agora Market is a perfect reflection of that.

Ashley
As a lifelong Edmontonian, Ashley is all about spreading kindness, creating connections, and making life a little sparkly! She loves everything about this city—from the electric energy of Oilers games to the warmth of its people. Ashley has always felt that Edmonton is a place where everyone can find their community, and she's passionate about bringing people together. She’s also a huge animal lover (especially when it comes to dogs), and her love for the color pink shows up in everything she touches! Ashley's mission is to create an environment where women feel supported, celebrated, and empowered to follow their dreams.

Yasmene
Originally from outside of Edmonton, Yasmene moved to this beautiful city and was immediately captivated by the welcoming, friendly spirit of its people. She’s thrilled to experience all the local gems and unique culture that Edmonton has to offer, and she’s passionate about contributing to the growth of the city’s small businesses. Yasmene loves animals (especially dogs), plants, art and all things that represent creativity and empowerment. Her dedication to fostering community and supporting female entrepreneurs shines through in everything she does, and she’s excited to be part of a city that’s as vibrant and special as Edmonton.
